Environmental mining engineer/scientist with minimum of 10 years experience.
Direct, hands on professional experience required:
(i) planning, development and management of environmental projects including
- environmental engineering, water treatment and waste management including mine waste, tailings disposal
- environmental impact assessment, hydrogeology, dam safety and stability as well as construction and operation.
- reclamation and restoration programs.
(ii) permitting (open pit and underground)
(iii) working in Galicia
(iv) familiar with environmental laws and regulations
(v) working with both regulators/authorities and NGOs
(vi) full development cycle through to operations
(vii) ability to build team, mentor and manage staff
Personal traits to include:
(i) good working level of English
(ii) independent, with self drive and initiative
(iii) takes ownership and willing to do the hard work and analysis
(iv) team player
Santa Comba is a permitted underground operation currently being brought in to production with first product sales scheduled for September 2021. Larger open pit planned for start-up in late 2021/early 2022. Role will be located at site in Santa Comba, Galicia. Successful candidate will be required to relocate (if not already in Galicia). Note that this is a site role.
